Teacher's gift and thank you card

My eldest son finishes school today, and the teacher he has had this year has been amazing. She has really made an impression on both him and us. Unfortunately she is retiring, which will be a big loss to the school and I had been hoping that she would have my youngest when he starts September 12 months, but that is not to be the case.

I decided to alter a notebook for her, make a card and give her the compulsory bottle of wine!

That's all for now, God it's 1.43am....time to hit the sack

I need to start making different cards me thinks!!!

My eldest had to go to a party yesterday evening, and I had forgotten all about it until an hour before he had to leave. I had no present, no card and no wrapping paper. I was in a mad dash around the house looking for my stash of 6 year old boy birthday presents (I need to stock up on more of these), and appropriate paper. In the end the wrapping paper was from Christmas (but not too Chirstmassy), the present was located but there was no card. So a quick search for papers etc, and this is what I came up with. I am thinking however that I need to develop a different style!! Well I have made other cards, but any photos of them seem to be on my phone and I have no idea how to upload to my blog from my phone....... anyone, anyone!!!!

Canvas

As I have been so bad uploading pictures I thought I would look through my camera for any cards, altered items etc that I may have pics of which I could then upload. I found the following, I have of course blurred out the photos as the children featured are not mine, and I don't agree in posting pics without permission.

I made this canvas for my sister for her birthday last year, and was quite happy with the result.

So I haven't blogged in awhile, ok well 20 months or so.... I think I'll try and blog more often, however from previous experience that may not happen. Anyhow....... here are some cards I made in recent weeks.

I was inspired to make these cards after sitting beside this very talented lady at a crop, and from whom I shamelessly lifted this idea, www.lbeescrafts.blogspot.com thanks Linda xx

This crop cost me a fortune, because I 'had' to buy the stamps that Linda was using; the Hero Arts Envelope stamp and monsters set!

This card was a last minute one, whereby I had NOTHING in the house I could give to a little girl for her 6th birthday. I used the pink cardstock underneath forever friends heart vellum, I then coloured a gorjuss girl stamp and had her sit on some ribbon.

And finally, a friend's son made his communion and despite owning more stamps than I'll ever need in my lifetime, I do not own an appropriate stamp for this occasion. In addition to this I didn't want to give money, so I looked online and found this tutorial on youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FXoDtw6WCE, and this is my take on it.

I used red bassil cardstock and docrafts krate paper, penny black stamp and Sandylion Essentials stickers.

So, I will try and remember that I set this up!! TFL
